1. Types of Awnings

Thule & Fiamma offers a variety of awnings to suit different needs and vehicles. These include:

> Wall Mounted Awnings

Wall Mounted Awnings are installed via universal fixation kits that are included with the Awnings. These kits need to be drilled/bonded onto the side of the vehicle. In some cases, universal fixation kits are not suitable and a vehicle-specific kit must be purchased separately.

> Roof Mounting Awnings

Roof Mounted Awnings are installed via a vehicle-specific mounting bracket which is purchased separately.

> Rail Mounted Awnings

These are mounted on a "C-rail" normally pre-installed on your caravan, providing flexibility in positioning.

2. Size

The size of the awning you choose depends on the size of your vehicle and the amount of space you want to cover. Thule awnings come in a range of lengths and projections. For example, the TO 1200 ranges from 2.30m to 5.50m in length and 2.00m to 2.50m in projection. It’s important to measure your vehicle and your desired coverage area before making a selection.

3. Colour

Awnings come with different cassette colours to match the style of your vehicle. Options include white, anodised, anthracite, and light grey. With some awnings, you are also able to choose the fabric colour. The colour of your awning can enhance the aesthetic appeal of your vehicle, so choose a colour that complements your vehicle’s design.

4. Features

Our awnings can house a variety of standard and optional features. These include:

 

Integrated Tension Arms: These provide additional stability to the awning, especially in windy conditions.

Quick Leg Lock: This feature allows for easy and secure locking of the support legs.

Tent/LED Mounting Rail: This allows for the attachment of a tent or LED lights to the awning.

Pitch Adjustment: This feature allows you to adjust the angle of the awning, providing optimal shade and rain runoff.

Anti Rattling: This feature reduces noise from the awning while the vehicle is in motion.

3rd Support Leg: This provides extra support to the awning, increasing stability.
