More about this super smart bit of kit... What’s unique about the Combi 6 D E, is the 3 different operation choices. You have the option to use the combi heater in: Diesel mode, Electric mode, Or combined diesel and electric mode. The diesel only mode is designed for autonomous use, or possibly in situations where access to an electric hook-up isn’t an option. The electric only mode is for use with 230 V electric power supply, that could be from mains hook up at a campsite or elsewhere. The combined diesel electric mode is where the magic happens. This mode can only be used when the unit is producing both hot air and hot water. While in this mode, the Combi 6 D E automatically selects the operation method based on how much power is required. This purely depends on how radically the temperature must change before reaching the desired setting. The unit will choose either diesel or electric power, according to the difference between the temp set on the control panel and the room temp. If the boiler has already been filled, the water will automatically heat as well. Fitting information The Combi D 6 E is a perfect option for those who own, or plan to buy, a larger motorhome or conversion vehicle. This particular heater is well suited to larger vehicles such as the VW Crafter, Peugeot Boxer, Vauxhall Movano, MAN TGE, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Citroen Relay and Fiat Ducato. The unit measures approximately 52.5 cm long, 45 cm wide and 30 cm high; surprisingly compact given the power of the appliance. Plenty small enough to fit within your vehicle in your allocated area, yet capable of heating your entire vehicle. The unit weighs about 16.9 kg, that’s without holding water. Specifications and safety advice It’s important that the unit is fitted by a certified gas engineer, relatively central to the space the unit will be heating. Service technicians must be able to easily access the unit, should removal or re-installation be required. This claw-clamp style if fittings are placed through an internal sliding rail, this allows you to place the box perfectly on your roof bars allowing boot access with minimal, if any, contact between boot door and Motion 3 roof box. As soon as the Motion 3 is placed perfectly, use the torque limited dial to the top of the PowerClick fittings to secure them around your roof bars. These fittings will then 'Click' once correct tension is reached letting you to know that the Thule Motion 3 Roof Box is securely mounted. Once this is completed on all 4 of the boxes fixings you are ready to load your luggage, securely close the lid and start your journey.     The Thule Motion 3 is available in 7 size which include 2 low profile options as well as 2 colours in the larger sizes: Black Glossy or Titan Glossy. The Motion 3 - Sport, M & XXL Low are only available in Black Glossy.
